"Fantastic Model Miniatures" Lexington MA Oct. 1-2, 2011

New England based Garage kit builders/Modelers/Miniaturists come out to support our hobby on OCTOBER 1 and 2, 2011 as The National Heritage Museum in Lexington, MA presents "Fantastic Model Miniatures". The exhibition will showcase models as art to the public who might never make it to one of our regular model shows. Included: Garage kits, Historical Figures, Dioramas, Military Planes/Armor and Dinosaurs by some of the best artists anywhere. This event will be a combined effort by the members of the East Coast Figure Artists and the IPMS Patriot Chapter of New England. Members of the Long Island Figure Club , the Military Figure Collectors of America along with our major model clubs here in New England will be represented.

This non-profit, educational exhibit will feature 350 miniatures including garage kits, historical scale figures , dioramas , architechtural and gaming miniatures including works by Shep Payne, Tom Gilliland ,  John Rosengrant, columnists from Amazing Figure Modeler Magazine  and  remarkable pieces from the Sci-fi and military vehicle modelers here in New England.

Ongoing demonstrations will include: sculpting, molding/casting miniatures, bronze casting, painting A to Z, photo etch manufacturing, diorama construction and model building.

On display will be works by Steve Riojas, Tom Gillilland, Shep Paine, Michael Paul Smith, The East Coast Figure Artists and IPMS Patriot Chapter and others.
