FSM will not host the picture file per se.  You need to find another place on the web to post it.  Photobucket is a popular one that works well with the FSM forums. Or, if your ISP gives you a personal web site, that will usually work too.

Once it is on the web, you need to copy the address (URL).  Photobucket is popular because this is almost automatic.  Once the address is on the clipboard, start a message.  Then click on the filmstrip icon.  A window will open up asking a few questions, including the URL of the image.  Paste the URL in here.  Or, merely right down the URL of the image site and hand enter it in the window.  Pick max sizes- I recommend about 600-700.  Then ok the window and finish the post.

Just to try and make things easier, if you will grab the "Image Code" that is below the pic in Photobucket, you can copy it directly into your post without using the Media button. You wont be able to see it if you preview your post but when you click "Post", it will show up in the thread. I tried using the media button a long time ago but got tired of having to edit all the extra code out that showed up above and below the photo.

I had to figure it out too.

Now I load a picture to photobucket. When its on there you can get a Http for it (if you click on the picture it will appear below it), copy that. Then use the media icon on here, looks like a film (two to the left of the smiley icons). Paste the link in there and that should be it.

Good luck with it
