Although it is not available at the moment because of some printing glich, the big Squadron catalog (not the monthly flyer, but their thick catalog) is an excellent place to look for PE and aftermarket detail parts. I intend to order a new one as soon as they get the situation straightened out.
If you use their searchable catalog on their web site, looking at a kit often brings up what accessories are available for it. While they may not have everything, they certainly have a lot. Looking at the web sites of other mail order vendors is also a big help.

Try this website, they have their contact info and they are very helpful getting exactly what you want. They have PE, Resin, aftermarket tracks, barrels and just about anything else you want. I know they mail order and ship so give them a try. Ask for Marty, he's the owner. http://home.earthlink.net/~mmodels/

JailCop Hey guys I've been reading a lot of threads here, and see a lot of guys using aftermarket parts kits and such, like metal tank barrels, higher detail parts kits, etc My question is, where are you guys getting these things? Online?

I get 'em outta the kits they come in, rather than buying them... There's a LOT of unused PE parts on any particular set like the ones in the ProModeler kits, and any number of them can be used on other kits... Inluding parts of the brass runners...
I have bought after-market generic sets, like "US Seat Harness buckles" and "German Rudder Pedals", though these days it's just easier (and FAR cheaper) to make 'em m'self or rob them from other kits...
But unless you got a (rare) super-stocked hobby shop locally, the best bet is on-line, yeah...
VanceCrozier I can't speak for the others mentioned here already, but Sprue Brothers gets a big thumbs-up from me. Good prices, quick shipping and if it's showing in-stock, they've got it in the warehouse.

I agree with ya there! I ordered an AM barrel for my Revell M109A6 Paladin on Thursday of last week and it came in the mail yesterday! Sweet!

Don Stauffer My local hobby shop carries a bit of PE for aircraft and cars. I do a lot of ships too, but have to order PE for those online. I use Tom's Modelworks a lot, but also some White Ensign and GMM. Toms and GMM have good ordering on their web sites, and I get White Ensign from Roll Models. Can't help with armor- I build very little of it.

Ebay, Spruebrothers, or Greatmodels. If you purchase from Greatmodels, make sure it shows in-stock, otherwise it might be a long wait. If it says they haven't had that product in say over a year, chances are you won't be able to get it.

I like using Luckymodel as well. They have a good selection and good search engine. They also show whether it's out of stock, available, or in stock.
Their prices are generally cheaper but the biggest bonus is the shipping is free on 1st class items such as PE and small resin sets.
They are based in China but I've ordered from them numerous times without any trouble what so ever.
Sprue Brothers is also very good and quick to ship. I just received a package from them yesterday in fact that I ordered on Friday morning.

www.greatmodels has a great search engine.Once you locate the the kit that you have,it gives you all the AM stuff that they have in stock for that kit.Of course you can take that info and purchase anyplace,as mentioned Spruebrothers is good,I also use Ebay for a bargain sometimes.I also take a look at the magazine Scale military Modeler,it has a lot of info on AM.If you dont want to buy it,breeze thru it in Barnes and Noble.
Generally yes. I usually get mine off eBay though I have started buying from Sprue Brothers.
