 RESlusher:

iOS5 is the latest operating system for all iPods, iPads & iPhones.  I'm currently running version 5.0 (9A334).

Prior to updating I did have my default content editor set to "plain text" in my profile here as was referenced in an earlier message and was able to post messages.

But iOS5 is not available to every working model of the iPhone, and I suspect iPod.  While a little slow these days, my original iPhone has missed out on the last two OS upgrades.  I'm not sure I'd try to browse this forum with it anyway, the pictures download would drain my battery and attention span.

I'll have to check mine after a battery re-charge Dead, but I think mine was still showing "version 3.something or other". I need to hook it up to the Mac & run the updates, see what happens.

Looks like the majority of members who access the FSM forum from mobile devices

( other than laptops ) are using Apple products.

Any other forum members accessing the FSM forums via  "Android" software?

Do you mean like this:

I'm using an Ipad 2 and had a problem until I updated my software. But I still had to reboor the device before it would work.

hmmm - I'm using an iPod Touch Goose, not an iPhone. But I assume the software meant for browsing & interaction with forms & fields would be darn-near identical. I'll have to check out the update situation.

I never had to update any Apple product other than an Apple laptop or desktop so I would need to check with Apple support.

In the old days, folks used to be able to ask dad or grand dad for advice.

I had problems posting initially from my iPad2; but ever since I updated to iOS5 I haven't had a bit of trouble.

I use the free WiFi on the commuter train between Dallas and Fort Worth twice a day and haven't had any issues with browsing or refreshing.

Good news for potential Apple product purchasers.

Hey, thanks Aaron!

Yep, I just tried a test post a few minutes ago from the iPod Touch. I was able to access the field for "subject" and "tags", but the OS doesn't recognize the message area at all, so the cut & paste trick is out of the question. I wonder if I'm in need of an upgrade?

I use an iPod touch when mobile - I can log in & browse the forum but it doesn't seem to play well when posting to threads / messages etc. Ahhh well, some day....

Is access browsing / refresh fairly quick or do you have bandwidth problems ?

Or are you only using it at work but not on the road?

Mostly using it on the road, free wifi at various locations, so I'm at the mercy of how many other people are using the same wifi, not really a fair test I suppose. Most of the time the speed is actually pretty good.

been off the modeling planet for a couple years and im just trying to catch up. by the way where is the doog anyway. p.s. please forgive my puncuation as i am using mobile at the moment and my shift button doesnt like this box for some reason.  thanks

NYC? Out of curiosity, how much of a PITA is logging in and posting from mobile communication devices?

It's actually quite easy. Use the notepad for writing, copy, then paste on the page. But I didn't expect this to be a Spanish Inquisition:

I don't mean to grill you .............Devil........ I am presuming you mean something other than a phone.
