They would be HO scale( 1/87) or O scale(1/48) that,s all I know of. tankerbuilder
One can always make a partial hangar... Shep Paine's "bombed-out" hangar for his Do335 was outstanding.. The hangar's actually the base for the diorama, and the way he did gives you the impression that there's more hangar than actually modeled.:
Even if you decided not to "bomb" it, you could build it undamaged and get away with putting a roof on it, open door, and even add lighting to it...
Here is a shot of a Bleriot in front of a backdrop I made with some homemade hangers, WW1 vintage style.

Yes. When I make my photo backdrops I just make the hanger about a half inch thick. That means I must do the photo from square-on to the front, but that is not a problem.
Airfix used to produce one in 1:76.
Hangers are something one usually scratchbuilt. There are some kits out there but are rare and not the norm. Hanger designs vary by location, time frame and purpose. Easy enough to build, but remember they do take up a lot of space!

Most of those are HO scale, 1:87. Not good for dioramas, but they work well in 2D photography. They just look like they are further in the back than they really are. Works well with either 1:72 or 1:48. You may get a funny perspective using them with 1:32 though. You have to use a very low camera angle even with the 1:72 or 1:48. Use a scale 6 foot for the camera position and it will come out fine.
Haven't seen any kit-types hangars in the popular aircraft modeling scales... Their are some HO-types out there though..
I built a tent- hangar about 25 years ago and even though it was for a single 1/48th a/c, it was still pretty big, lol..
I didn't use any plans or anything, just made a frame from brass and then draped water-glue dampened tissue over it..
This guy did some 1/144 stuff with hangars:

Fiddler's Green Paper Models does paper hangars:

I Google-Imaged "Aircraft Hangar Kits" and got mostly full-sized hangar kits for results..
Nowadays frankly, I'd just buy the building materials for 'em from the LHS Model RR section...

Hey guys, was talking to a guy on another forum and he suggested theres a bit of a lack of model hangars (as in the building, not the thing you hang models from)
Does anyone here know of anywhere that makes model hangars in varying scale? If not, would there be much of a market for them?
