Has anyone tried to order replacement parts from MRC?

If so, how was your experience.

Over the summer I bought an Academy MiG-29AS (kit 12227) that was missing the clear parts sprue, and a missing cockpit piece as well.  I followed the instructions on their website and sent them a replacement parts request.  That was back in early October.  I have since called them twice, and emailed them twice, and have gotten no response about the status of my replacement sprue.

Contrast that to Eduard.  I have an Eduard kit that was missing an exhaust nozzle, so I entered a ticket on their website and within 3 days, the part was on it's way to me from the Czech Republic.

I am getting frustrated, and close to swearing off Academy kits all together.

Eduard is a manufacturer, MRC is a distributor... If I have it figured out right, the kit distributor has to get the part or parts from the kit manufacturer first, then ship them to the modeler needing the parts...  It could take several months and if the kit is out of production, it may never happen...
