I read some more on this and UPS charges a $2.50 to $3 fee to deliver to a residence.  Some vendors only charge what they get charged for shipping, so that is where you can save. Sprue Brothers is one of them.

Huh...   I have stuff shipped to work all the time so it doesn't get "liberated" from my front door and have never seen a savings on my shipping charges.

I don't know if this is common knowledge, but you can save about 25% on shipping if you have it shipped to you work (commercial / business) address.

I know UPS is about 20-25% less to have something shipped to a commercial location then a residental location. I guess they figure someone will be there to accept and sign for the package and at home they have to ring the bell,  wait for an answer and then drop it on your doorstep.

I was putting an order together today and this struck me as I was figuring the shipping.
