Guys, you better get them while you can. Costs in China are raising and that will led to higher prices here next year. What we see at $39 today will be $43-45 next year.

I was going to get that CH 109 from hannants next year, but at that price, it might be cheaper to get it from Sprue, even with the postage. I just have to hope they get some more as its now sold out. But then even the pre sale price is £10 cheaper than Hannants.

Ifs that right about the prices going up, the model buisness over here is going to be hit hard.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I wouldn't call 'em "ridiculous"... I'd call 'em "almost realistic" ( the BF110 is still about 10 bucks too high when the 1/32 Revell G-model Zerstorer can be had for 30-something)...

These sales are great but we all have to realize why this is happening. Its because the economy is in the toilet. Hobby lobby has there 40% sale every week now, Joseph A Banks buy one suit get 2 free. I love a deal as much as the next guy and I want to check out that 1/32 109E. All my local hobby shops except one have gone under. I hope things get better in the future but right now they seem to be getting worse. Sorry didnt mean to preach.

Even at $50, I'm also balking at the Dragon Bf-110 though as much due to it being basically the same version as the nice Revell C 3/4 I own,  as price.

I also own the Revell Bf-110G kit,

(please pardon the side tracking on this )

but I believe the G version engine outlines are undersized like the 1/48 version.

However, the old Revell Bf-109 F / G nose spinner looks the right size as a starter for scaling up and scratch building new cowlings for the 110G. Gonna need new wheel bulges , too, for the bigger 110 G wheels. (I'm thinking vacform )

I was pretty tempted to pull the trigger, but there wasnt anything I really wanted except that T-34.

You can be forgiven for being pessimistic.

I also live in Illinois................and the massive sales and property tax increases in this state tend to reduce the kit purchasing cash reserve considerably............not surprising that hobby stores are going out of business,

.....just sayin'

They do that every year from the beginning of November through the week of December 24...   At least as far back as I can remember...

I wouldn't know the difference, Goose...  And a difference that makes no difference is no difference, in my book, lol...

The only model kit I ever got hung up on over accuracy was the 1/48 Aurora P-61and had Monogram never come out with their version of it, and I'd not bought it at the same time, I'd never have known it was so wrong, either... In this hobby, ignorance truly is bliss...

The Nachtjager kit I have is at least 20 years old and I suspect, looking at the figures, is probably closer to 40... I don't know the original release date of this kit, although that'd be easy enouigh to find, I guess...

I bought a second hand copy of the Brazilian re-issue of the early 1980s (no release date printed on box or instructions ) ;  same box top artwork.
