They have it listed as out of stock... along with Squadron, Scale Hobbyist, Amazon etc. The Amazon site says it may not be available.

If I recall, tney had to relabel everything to comply with California more stringent labelling laws for certain harmful ingredients.  My local LHS just got their new supply in last week.

Has nothing to do with the Nukes.....Talked to Tamiya Tuesday they are still working on the lables. You can try Tennex but it will evaporate faster than Tamiya cement.

Thanks for the responses... one reason is as good as another. I had 3/4 of a bottle until I dropped it uncapped on the hardwood. Building with tube glue sucks. Just have to live with testors for the time being.

Give Tenax or Ambroid pro weld a try. They are pretty hot stuff and both are pretty thin. If you like the brush in the Tamiya bottle just pour the new stuff in the bottle and keep on trucking.

I don't know if it was Pro-Weld (think it was), but I bought a bottle of something at my LHS a few months ago when I ran out of Tenax. Good god the fumes. Absolutely unbearable.

Thankfully my order of two more Tenax bottles came a week or so later.

A month or so back I ordered a couple of bottles from one of the Hong-Kong businesses on E-bay.  IIRC, it was about $7.00 a bottle.  Got here in about a week.

I can recommend "Plast-i-Weld", made by "Flex-i-File" and intended for use with their "Touch-N-Flow" applicator.  Very similar in use to the Tamiya thin cement.  It's very thin, has good capilllary action, and no odor.  Made with methyl ethyl chloride.  Not as "hot" as Tenax- seems just about right.

You can usually get it from Sprue Bros or Squadron.  I have seen it recently in the local Hobby Lobby store.  Or you can buy from their web site, www.flex-i-file.com

Good stuff!

Yes, that price is far too high.  I believe I paid about $6.00 at my local hobby store last time, earlier this year.

Another example of your government simply working hard to protect you? They want to make sure you know not to eat or drink the stuff. A dead modeller is exempt from paying taxes, at least for now!
