My Christmas wish-list...
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 23, 2011 9:40 AM

Even though I've been pretty naughty this year---with the scorched earth policy and all---I'm hoping for:

1. Fujimi 1/350th Hiryu

2. Airfix 1/72nd Swordfish

3. Revell 1/72nd Halifax

4. Any brand of decals in 72nd scale for the B-24D "Brewery Wagon"...

But I'm resigned to get what I got last year...two lumps of coal and a ho...

My stash is well-stocked, so other than one of those "ooo, I need one of those!" weak moments I'm good for plastic. If Santa could bring me an airbrush compressor, and more bench time, I'd be thrilled.

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

1.  Any of the AFV Club Stryker variants that I don't already have

2.  Academy Merkava IV

3.  HobbyBoss ZTZ-99B MBT

4.  Trumpeter B1 Centauro late version

5.  HobbyTown in Arlington TX to get fully restocked on Tamiya acrylics!

And of course, more bench time.  Improved skills would be nice too!  Big Smile

Richard S.

On the bench:  AFV Club M730A1 Chaparral

On deck:  Tamiya Marder 1A2

In the hole:  Who knows what's next!

I gave up on wishing for stuff and just bought myself a new airbrush (to go along with 5 others) and it is wrapped and waiting for me to open it.

I have a basic airbrush, a Badger 150, but so far I have been using the compressed air cans. Good news, they're quiet and don't take up much room. Bad news, they're expensive and there is no pressure regulation. Sad

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

A compressor (I've been using an old blue Paasche w/ no regulator and a penchant for wandering around the floor) and a non-crap tripod.

I also tossed in a Harder & Steenbeck Infinity as a long-shot, but it's exactly that. A long shot.

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

nope Sad i restrict the area on 1/72 subjects. Till now only two planes in 1/48 finished and another (italeri tornado) in the stash, and two more gifted to friends in early 90. My house space is not a variable, it's a constant Chef

Thanx for the advice anyway

The main problem about fujimi ww2 jap kits is that are actually rere to find Crying

I'd like to get the missing bag of little panel magnets that Tamiya forgot to include in my 1/32 P-51D kit.

Anyone know who/how/where to contact Tamiya to get a missing part?  If someone has had a good experience with this, I would appreciate hearing about it.

Have started by contacting Squadron customer service, just yesterday, as the instruction book says "contact your dealer."  Realizing it's holiday time, I'll give them ample time to reply before I try anything else.

Thanks!

Chuck

Well after getting Trumpy's 1/16 Tiger 2 a few months back there's only one thing I need, A BENCH BIG ENOUGH to build it. Just moved, doubled by bench space and the box is almost as big as itAngry. Need more space lol.

I didn't ask for any kits as my stash is way too big now. I just wish I had more time to build them. Even though I am retired it doesn't see, like there is enough time to work in the hobby room.

The only thing on my wish list would be a decent hobby room at home to build and display everything, and the time to build it.

I think i am getting a kit tomorrow, but not jinxing it. But i have just ordered the CH 1/32nd Me 109E from the Sprue Brothers sale, so that my pressy to myself.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I saw that kit in a LHS............looks like two people are needed to lift it onto that bench.

OUCH ! I think I hurt my back just looking at the box that day..Surprise

Best of luck on that build!

I'd love to have that kit but price and size are a bit too much for me right now.

Please post build photos if you are able.
