How about lacquer thinner?

If you can soak it in lacquer thinner it should take it off.

Polly Scale Easy Lift Off (ELO) works great. Follow the directions on the bottle and you will be fine.

paint stripper?

anybody know a good brand of paint stripper? i am stripping down a diecast car to be re-decorated and the paint is amazingly resiliant. i tried spaking the model in paint thinner: nothin. sandpaper wont do it either, it just clogs weather its wet ot dry. i tried using a wire wheel on a dremel type tool and this gouges and scratches the metal. it doesent matter how harsh the stuff is, as it will only be exposed to die-cast metal, not plastics or resin. anybody got any ideas?
