I'm OK!

Models not so much. I was thinking the other day i was going to have to reassign some of my models to the trash/storage. Dont have to worry about that now. 23rd december, 5.9 followed by a 5.8 followed by a 6 decided for me which models to remove from my shelf. By doing it for me. My F-100 is in peices. My Corsair in buggered. Others can be salvaged, but theyre still pretty beat up. Thankfully my P-51 and my B-26 survived unmoved.

A jar of turps on my desk fell over and melted everything on my desk. Thankfully all the important stuff was elsewhere. Although it did melt the horizontal stabs of my DC-3 to the desk and turn them into unrecognisable blobs. Destroyed a couple paint brushes, a sheet of styrene, and put a massive warp in the middle of my self healing mat. a few hours in the sun fixed that though.

The other breakage that day was my partners collar bone. She fell in the 6 onto her arm trying to protect her head and the doctor thinks her collar bone might be broken. Going in for X-rays today.

So That was an awesome start to my holiday. But thats ok. Hope you all had a merry Christmas, or Person Appreciation Day as my little sister likes to call it.

Very sorry to hear of what happened to you and your partner.

Hope you don't have much in the way of aftershocks and that injury heals quickly.

I've suffered from a broken bone last winter so I know it can hurt .

Best wishes and hope you and others in your part of the world have a better year to come.

That is too bad about your models and partner's collar bone. Could have been worse, so glad to hear that it wasn't.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like as far as property damage goes, you escaped lightly. And best wishes to your partner.

Mikey good to hear things are OK. Not great for the partner but could be much worse. As for the plastic good excuse to buy replacements kits.  Smile

Sorry to hear about your partner's injury. I'm glad to hear your doing okay. I had a similar experience many years back in a local quake and my model shelves. I suppose you could look at it as an excuse to go out and get some replcements for the fallen...Hmm

Merry Christmas

Ugh.....Merry Christmas indeed, Mike. Sorry to hear about this, but I'm glad the personal injury wasn't worse for your partner.

That a tough one Mikey, my heart went out to you guys down there, heck, how much can the garden city take. I know we've a few up here who've bailed on it & I don't blame them. People just want some certainty. The flooding we had week before last was a bummer but it only affected certain areas. The quakes give everyone a shake up. I hope your partner is on the way to mending ( the physical wounds are often the quickest to fix) & that you've been able to rectify the worst of your modelling mess, just think, all those excuses to buy some more.Big Smile

I'm bummed cause they shut all the tracks above Richmond cause of slips & I really need to go for some walks after the last few days indulgence.Big Smile
