The "king" of Search-and-Rescue helis.

The S-61A is a special version built under license by Mitsubishi®, for use by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (J.M.S.D.F.). The J.M.S.D.F. currently employs 18 S-61As to serve as a utility heli and for Search-and-Rescue missions. This limited edition kit features a new searchlight, and outer resin intake fuselage parts.

Decal Options:

  1. J.M.S.D.F. Atsugi Rescue Squadron, Code: 44

Well theres a marketing effort for you, a bit of reach if you ask me to call the "king" of SAR an attack helo. Sorry had to share

Thought it was kind of a weird color scheme for an attack helo. Sort of screams "shoot me, shoot me".

It was the "Attack helicopter" text that caught my attention being in the same place as a day-glo SAR bird.

"Look at me, here I come, I'm going to attack you with my completely politically correct missiles & torpedoes"
