You may know them for scenery materials for dio's.  Model railroaders use their products a lot.

Read about this in the mroning paper, Linn Creek is about 40 miles away. Looks like they lost 3 of 8 buildings. I believe they were located in the small downtown area of Linn Creek, population 250. 150 worked here, so it's a huge blow to this area. The city used up all it water supply putting the fire out.

From what I have read and watched on TV, they still have some building they are going to try to work from today.  The fire chief was saying it was such a hot fire from all the plastic and foam burning.

Man, that's a shame. I've bought some of their stuff over the years and see it at my LHS. Hopefully, they can get spun back up quickly.

Good to see everyone seems to be ok, but it sucks to lose so many jobs till they're back up and running.

I've used their stuff for years, always good products.

I heard another report on  the radio that the owner is not going to reopen.

They said this was mainly a repacking and shipping business, so he must have been getting all his product from China and repacking it into his packages, then shipping out to hobby shops.

Message sent to Missing Lynx:

Dear all,

As you may have heard we have experienced a fire here at Woodland Scenics and there is good news and bad news. The good news is that no one was hurt during the fire or evacuation process. The bad news is that it took out a couple of our manufacturing buildings. However, and fortunately, there is more good news than bad.

We encompass multiple buildings that are spread out all over the town of Linn Creek. We only lost two of those buildings and those two contained just a small portion of our manufacturing facilities. Our shipping department, warehouse and corporate offices were spared any damage, as were most of our manufacturing buildings, so it is business as usual.

Thanks for all your concerns.

Respectfully,

I heard that the flames coming from the scale trees reached as high as eight inches!

Just kidding,
