Despite my taking over the kitchen table, she's actually alright with it. Cheaper than lottery addiction, safer than drinking and less toxic than smoking. Mostly. She's even helped me find more than a few tiny pieces that shot off into nowhere. We both, however, wish I had a little more room somewhere else in the house to keep "my bench" and display shelves set up in.
any chance of hanging a small folding table on a wall near an outlet in a side room?
Possibly. We're in a fairly small town-house setup. There is a spare bedroom upstairs, which quickly turned into the "this is where everything goes when we can't think of someplace else for it to go..." room. We did some foundation repairs last summer that seem to have taken care of some water leakage issues we always had to deal with. Looks like the crawl-space basement is safe for storage now but will require a good cleanup, paint on the floor, closing up the open floor joists etc.
Or.... I could turn that area into my man-cave. I'd just have to work on a short table, sitting on the floor!
