im building a 1/24 Cessna 172 from scratch nothing but styrene and glue no kit or instruction i spend three weeks everyday i spend 3 hours every week nite and 6-8 hours on the weekends just to build this wing and detail it. So at a minimun 45+ hours on just the wing. Take it outside to prime it finally almost done...primers dry but its dinner time so I figure i:ll get it rite after....then my flipping dog takes it off the table and breaks my wing.... Im so mad just though i'd vent a little thanks for reading
Sorry to read of the damage done to your project.
You are the second forum member this week whose pet caused damage to a model.
Yeah, I understand completely...
Probably will get this thread nuked Monday too, lol..
Four on the floor...
Aren't pets great?
Is your dog partial to Pipers? Why doesn't he like Cessna? Probably a low wing guy.

After Hans posted the list of all his projects, i suspect his cat prefers monoplanes.
Cat picked the biplane out of all the other kits being worked on.
No doggies in this house. Thank goodness the cats can't get into my hobby room.

You just think they can't tigerman ... cats are sneaky. Trust me on that one.
FOUR ON THE FLOOR....
Modeling disasters do suck. But as Hans pointed out, let's talk about the disaster (or disaster, pet-induced or otherwise) and avoid the extraneous commentary.

You get the picture I was able to scratch build the leg that my pal chewed on and came out looking almost ok. Small price to pay for a companion that loves you unconditionally...... But I still

That's what I thought too... But they actually team up and get in mine.. Anyway, the PT-17 is reparied, due to some putty and wet-sanding on the empenage, replacement prop-blades from a 1/72 scale four-bladed one I found in the junk box (the Kaydet's hub was ok, thankfully), and some struts made from sanded-down Evergreen strip..
It's clamped and closed-up in the fusealge and the lower wing is attached temporarily... (Dunno why my thread got nuked, but thanks for asking, Aaron..)
Hope you get yours back up and thread stays up too...
Post pics...
