Wrightcon 2012 / IPMS Region IV convention April 13th / 14th 2012! Next Friday

Greetings fellow model builders; 

As the current co-Vice President of the Wright Field Scale Modelers, I wanted to drop this quick reminder the IPMS Region IV convention (Wrightcon 2012) is now less than a week away. The convention will be April 13th & 14th in beautiful Dayton Ohio located on Wright-Patterson AFB. We have a great lineup of seminars & presenters to help hone your modeling skills, a Make and Take for the kids, a monster lineup of raffle items, a large (sold out) vendor room, and not to mention our venue is located just minutes away from the National Museum of the United States Air Force. As a bonus the Gathering of B-25's will be happening at Grimes Field, Urbana just 40 minutes up the road this same weekend. 

Contest registration is open on Friday from noon until 8pm and again from 9am to 1230pm on Saturday with the first presenter / seminar slated to start 7pm Friday night and again at 10am on Saturday morning. There will be a Bring-N-Build social with buffet Friday night to give you ample opportunity to talk with friends an maybe make one or two new ones. Our venue, the Hope Hotel and Conference Center, has on-site dining and concessions and not to mention there is plenty of nearby shopping for the spouse and kids. 

The contest features over 80 categories, 22 special awards and will be using traditional IPMS 1-2-3 judging.
