Well , I have read a lot about reasons for not building.Remodeling the house,a move etc. Now, how bad do most of us old dogs have the modeling addiction? Well,speaking for myself,BAD.Bad enough to take my wonderful "KING of THE ROAD" RV and trade it for a luxury(back then anyway) What was called a "TOY HAULER.WHY? Well you see ,it had a garage in back with all these cabinets and ,oh well,you see where I am going with this don,t you?
I not only build models ,but I also do scroll saw work and woodcarving. Why? well,to keep the old grey cells intact.A doctor for old folks with mental problems(EARLY ONSET ALZHEIMERS or SENILE DEMENTIA)told me that they don,t have anything to think about but memories.He said those with active,inventive minds often go for many,many years before even memory is affected.
Now that,s what I was told.I don,t proffess to be a doctor of medicine , but it kinda makes sense.True, my grammatical skills have slipped, but ,I still get the point across.Leastwise I think I do.Her,es to good hobbies, good wine and really great and loving spouses.My two,(the one gone and the one in the home) both had wonderful skills of thrie own and we complemented each other.
I guess that,s why I still build models.They are always opening memory doors.Mighty good doors I might add.So , in closing , do you live in an RV? If so you don,t have to give up your hobby.Tone it back and keep on building TANKER-builder
