That's fixable.  

I recently left out the IP's for a two-seat Yak-18 trainer and there's no way to stuff them in there now that it's closed up and the canopy installed.  Oops, indeed!

I forgot to add weight to the front of my H-34 Choctaw. It's all closed up, painted, decals on, and the sucker will not sit flat!  It tips back every time. Ughhhh!

So yeah... We've all been there once or twice.  

Bad one - at least it not terminal & you can see the funny side of it!

These sort of things always seem to happen to me when thing are going great guns - the better things are going the more the change of getting ahead of myself.........

On my Tamiya JSU-152 I completed the model,assembled and painted the 2nd crewman,was very happy with him till I realized he wasn't going to fit thru the hatch.He should have been added before I closed up the hull!!

Haha, yeah I found it pretty amusing. "D'oh!" sums it up well.

I have never made a mistake nor forgotten a piece. I have never applied paint to the wrong side of a part and I have never painted the wrong colour on a part.

I have never told the truth about my modeling history either.

All mistakes are funny until they are unfixable. Then it's a whole new story.

The heart skips a beat, then you feel flush, then realize it's fixable, let out a sigh and then have bit of a chuckle.....  

or so I've been told.  :-)

Actually, I'm putting together a 'visible heart' kit for my wife who's a Perfusionist.  I'm trying to get all the seams filled, and currently looking for just the right color to paint the pieces, when I realize that the aorta was put together upside down.  This is after all the gluing, putty work, sanding and priming is all done.  

I went through all the above feelings, and started to look at replacing the entire kit.  I remembered that the current kit is full of high-strength magnets to hold everything together when it's assembled.  I grabbed my miter saw and hacked the piece off.  I should be sanding down my last coat of putty this afternoon and priming again.

Glad your booboo is more-easily fixed.

Just had the same with my wildcat the other day, I was so happy because it is the first time I airbrushed something and it looked totally right, until I looked at my pant sheme and saw that I forgotten some spot to paint + I painted the underside of my wing completly yellow to and thats not the way it should look...

Hope that I'll be able to fix that one soon

And I'm not even starting about all the other things I have done wrong in the past..

I have a Saab Gripen all closed up & waiting for primer. Double-checked my instruction sheet to gather up my paint call-outs. Realized I neglected to add weight to the nose.

HOW about this boo-boo.Built a kit for a client.forgot to install the blind nuts for the stand.I am glad he decided he liked the keel block idea.Thought I would have to build my ARIZONA to fix the difference!The TRUMPETER ARIZONA is to detailed to do this to   TANKER-builder.

Had one of these moments the other day.  Got an engine nacelle all closed up, filler and sanding done and looking pretty, and realized I'd forgotten the little rubber grommet that allows the prop to turn and be removable.  Oh well, not too terrible, I can glue it in with some canopy glue, but still annoying as heck.

Recently, I had temporarily glued a part on for test-fitting purposes, then when I popped it off, it flew up into the air and got briefly tangled in my hair before dropping to the floor.

Speaking of hair, a very long time ago, I lost a tiny part (I forget exactly what it was but it was something I scratchbuilt) when I dropped it and I couldn't find the danged thing! I searched for quite a while before deciding it had fallen victim to the carpet monster and making another one. A while later, it was time for my bath (yes, I prefer baths to showers--so sue me) and after undressing, I'm sitting down in the tub and there is the missing part tangled in the hair on my thigh!

This was refreshing.

Built the same kit and it almost hapenned to me but cought it in time!!!!!

one of my first kits coming back into modeling after 20 some years was a Mig 17. after I had everything together, I realized it needed more weight in the nose. after some thinking, the only thing i could think to do was drill a split shot sinker size hole in the side toward the front. It worked out in the end. After adding the extra weight, i used epoxy then added the putty. I think it turned out pretty good. LOL

Just realized I put the prop decals on the wrong side of the blades, after the decal set had nicely dried!  That's the way she will remain!  "DOH" again!
