Read any good books lately?

Recently finished "Phantom Reflections" and thought it was a good read. As mentioned, "When Thunder Rolled" and "Palace Cobra" were very good too.

On the Vietnam air war, "One Day in a Long War" is the most recent read on that subject that I can highly recommend. I see that "Thud Ridge" was already mentioned as well. Of course right now I am reading "1776" by David McCollough, an absolutely superb read about the beginning of the American Revolution.

Very good book, and a lot of new info about the FAC operation.

Read Fighter Pilot......Kinda why I'm looking for more.  Really liked it.

If you haven't read Ernie Old's biography, "Fighter Pilot" please do not call yourself a Vietnam Air War fan again...just sayin'...

Not about Vietnam per se, but I just finished Kelly Johnson's autobiography. Its a great read.

My problem with reading books is that it often results in me putting away the project I am working on in favor of starting a kit of the genre represented by the book I am reading.  Was about to start an airliner, and started reading Popes  "Life in Nelson's Navy" about sailing ships circa 1800, and I really want to build something of that kind of thing.  Harder to get back to what is on bench. I guess I should prioritize my reading to only read stuff related to what is on (or going on) my bench!

It's no work of literary genius, but it's about maybe three dozen guys and a half dozen airplanes controlling the first fifty kilometers or so of North Vietnam. From 4000 feet. All day.

My F-100F also came Friday. Sprue shots over in the Vietnam Air War GB, which is in "Aircraft" until it gets moved....

If you're willing to allow dead tree over Kindle, Osprey's F-100 and B-57 Units of the Vietnam War were both good reads with lots of personal stories...
