Scale help
Posted by OneTRKPony on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 3:51 PM

Greetings,

I'm trying to figure out the scale of some old Monogram kits from the 1970's.  What scale were Snap-Tite Aircraft Carrier kits the Kennedy, Kitty Hawk & Constellation?

I want to say they were around 1/800 or so. Or you could do the math. Kit is X inches long. Real thing is Y inches long. Divide X into Y and you get the answer of actual scale.

edit- I see your talking about the snap tite kits... I was referring to the glue together kits of that era that Monogram made as 1/800. I think the snap tite kits were a far smaller of a scale.

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Sorry it's taken a bit to answer.  Thanks for your help.  They turned out to be in the 1400 scale.  Again, thanks for answering me.
