Here is mine. It's in a basement room but the dark color actually works well.

HMMM,let,s see. grey concrete floors, unpainted drywall on two of three walls. Pure white ceilings.two- two tube shop lights and two OTT lights on the bench. It,s shared with my land-lady who,s into mini-dollhouses and stained glass.

Her mini-dollhouses are 1/87 and 1/48 in scale. She raids my parts boxes and drawers for parts to make little lawnmowers, grills etc. She,s always asks BEFORE she uses anything though. So shop color doesn,t count, it,s bright from smiles and happiness.     TANKER-builder

I renovated my hobby room/office myself. Originally it was nasty brown carpet and dirty white walls.

I ripped out the carpet and installed laminate hardwood flooring. Then I painted the walls a sort of crimson or brick red to compliment the wood. Nice framed pics of ships and aircraft  hang on the walls, and I installed glass shelving on two walls to display kits and completed builds.

Do a search for my thread on the shelves  called "Check Out My New Shelves".  I have pics of my office in another thread on people's work areas, so search for that too. I can't post pics now as my photo host site isn't cooperating.

Light green walls w/ dark green trim.  Track lighting, work bench is an old surplus drafting table from USGS.  Floor is bamboo.  Dropped parts tend to bounce, but don't get lost that much.  Painting is done out in the garage (heated with a propane heater).

This is my "office" for cad work & hobby room.  Main problem getting anything done is the cat who thinks he owns the place, and that my job is to hold him when I'm home.

Beige with off white trim and wood blinds.

Doubles as a home office.

I already have one spare bedroom dedicated to displaying my models, comics, pulps, and childhood toys.

I dont think I could get away with another room dedicated to my stuff.

The happy mess that is my shop. It's a converted two-bay machinery shed that was totally unfinished inside. I insulated it and built interior walls of wood salvaged from barns and decks I deconstructed for friends. White post is actually a cedar trunk that holds up the top plate, it still has phone numbers penciled on it from the days when it held a "party line" for the mechanic who owned the shop, my father. Wood heat, concrete floor.

I like that a lot!  Cool shop!  I wish I had room for a wood heater somewhere around our place.

My favorite "man cave" that I had was tan to match a Civil War style border my wife found.

I have white walls, white ceiling and white tiled floor - yet i still find the room too dark sometimes, even with overhead lighting and multiple desk fluoros.

Are ya talkin' about the wall?  What walls, heheh...

There are a few spaces where the walls show through.  They're white.  Between all my scale model stuff and most of my gun stuff (about 50-60K rounds scattered around the place...oh, those poor floor joists, lol!), I'm just about out of room in my study.  Believe it or not, I know where most everything is...Big Smile

I went to Home Depot and bought an "Oops" can of paint for 5 bucks.  Mine is an off white.  Try it, they usually have a decent selection of colors there.

My garage is 3 years old so I'm still not settled but My 4x8 sheets of peg board are red. Red always shows up in shops at some point.

White walls, tan carpet but then again I can't really do anything else since it's an apartment... Personally I would prefer black, maybe with some airbrushed flames but that will have to wait until I get the down payment/proper credit to buy property.

Do you want that in RLM or FS numbers? Wink How about a very light tan with a white ceiling? You need all the light you can get.

What color is your workshop?

Question say it all. Going to redo the mancave soon and would like some input from other as to what color their workshop (i.e. the walls) are painted.

Only, thing I sure of is I would prefer not to do white.

Thanks in advance.........

Scott
