It is funny how, when all the fun and joy is sucked out of the room, all you want is more fun, and you go elsewhere.

At least I have plenty to look forward to when I get up north. My M1A1 lower hull is almost done for the gulf wars GB then in Dec I'll have my velociraptor for My 1st time and subject TBA for weekend madness. Then I need to finish up my Kawasaki ZX-14 for no more excuses at some point then as 2013 rolls around I'll have Blonde Bomber II for 1943. In among that I badly want to get started on my 1:350 USS Los Angeles and Hasegawa 1/72 F117.

A certain degree of 'peace of mind' works for me. The hobby doesn't really provide that in my case when I have other obligations or more pressing issues around the house that need to be addressed. It is almost impossible for me to focus on model building. When they have been looked into and the appropriate actions have been taken is when I do my best work and enjoy it most.

It's like reverse psycology or something kinda like there's a lawn and you never walk on it until they put up a "keep off grass" sign then all the sudden you wanna walk all over it.

Been there done that. When I had the time I procrastinated. Now I have no time, so I scramble to get some build time in on the weekend. Just isn't fair.

Heh, I hear that. When we bought our 2nd house and moved to Ft. Collins, I packed up everything except the Airfix 1/350 Trafalgar submarine kit and built that on top of a card table and boxes in my office. Took 2nd at a contest not long after. Maybe I should move more LOL.

So I've been feeling lazy and unmotivated, just plopping at the bench an hour here 30min there...then I get the news we got a new home and we will be moving by the end of November. Because I had been dealing with the above mentioned lack of motivation I decided to pack my bench, built ups, and WIP's first...NOW all the sudden I want to build everything in sight! Ain't that always how it works?Bang Head
