Hope everyone takes a minute today to give thanks for our veterans, both past and present, who have served our nation so well.

Hear, hear!  I try to thank them every day.  Please remember especially the World War II veterans.  We are losing them at a rate of 1200+ per day.  Before long, it will be impossible to thank the men, and women, who actually saved our country.  World War II was a war of national survival, and we owe everything we have today to them.

As always there a 2 min's silence at 11am on Rememberance Sunday. We were in the Supermarket today at the time. Seemed a bit odd to stand for 2 mins in there.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Absolutely.  My father, uncle, brother-in-law, nieces etc. served. We are a great country thanks to all the veterans who served. Your contributions will never be forgotten.

I spent the afternoon at the Hardin County Veteran's Tribute dedication ceremony. They mentioned it was the first Veterans Day without a WW1 survivor.
