Donating a model to JROTC class

My It sounds like the thoughts you have are a good starting point. After that, you can, as they say, "Go with the flow". I'm sure they will have lots of questions that will keep you busy. One thought, if you have pictures on your computer from some of the shows you attended, they might enjoy hearing about the shows and seeing the pictures. If you have some of your build pictures, they might be useful too. Hope this helps.

I can't give you a full description of what I would say,,,,,,,,but, hopefully, this will be just one in a good long list of posts

so, somewhere in your talk, tell them about the feeling you get when you assemble the parts and it starts to look like the vision you had in your head when you started the model

that happens at different times for different aircraft, and for different people,,,,,,,,but, for me, to contrast two aircraft,,,,,,,,a Phantom starts to really look like one when I attach the canted up wingtips,,,,,,,,,and a Beech Staggerwing stands out from all other biplanes when I attach the upper wing "too far back" for being normal

I am probably not expressing this correctly,,,,,,,but, you know the time in the build that I mean,,,,,,,there is one for every model,,,,,,,tank, car, ship, aircraft, figure, etc

Yeah this direction is good.

Also, describe the different areas of model building such as the many scales and genres; armor, auto, trucks, sic-fi, as well as aircraft. 

I work on cars at work but I prefer building Military and Science Fiction subjects.

Just because they are USAF JROTC, some of them might actually be interested in painting War Hammer figures...

Tarn-  I know exactly what you mean about that moment when the model begins to like it should- mines when I get the main wings and stabs attached.

you might not want to share this part with the JR's,,,,,,,,but, that time is also the first time that "Swoooooshhhhhh" and "RRRRooooooowwwwwllllllllll" really work correctly

I was going to mention that for nothing else, models are great fun to strafe the pets...
