a cat that doesn't see all my stuff as fair game.

a wife that doesn't see all my stuff as a "big mess" or say patronisingly  "what you doin'? playing with your little models?"

given my small stash (my description, not my frau's) and my slow building i have a case for immortality.if TSHTF and styrene becomes the new currency we will be rich. the new "minerals" will be glue and paint.

Same here.  I took good 5 years off from building models and recently returned to the hobby, so I have lots of catching up to do.  I just hope that my kids won't destroy whatever I build.

Isn't it a universal law that you can't die until you've finished all the kits in your stash?  right now I should live to be about 300 years old.

...a dedicated modeling area, that my family doesn't refer to as "the kitchen table.

...un-interrupted blocks of time to work on my kits.

...a Tarangus 1/48 Viggen. (and temporary use of a North Pole Elf to apply the necessary masking for the Swedish "lakes" camoflage)

Absolutely, positively DITTO to that. I only have 1 little problem with that. I'll need a lot more years to "git er done". Thanks for putting those sentiments into such eloquent words. The same back at you TANKER-builder. Toast

DEAR SANTA

I want thirty more years to build aALL the ship models I now have.

I want ALL my fellow modelers to enjoy what models they are building, and those that are WIPs.

I want All the staff at FSM to have a safe and really nice holiday which sees them get the gifts they would like.

I cannot gift this year and you all know why,BUT,here,s one I can give.To all the MODELERS good luck in your builds, build what you like not what someone says you have to to make ,it right.? ENJOY having your family around to ask WHY? when they see your models.

Most of all SANTA can you please bring more great models at a price we on fixed incomes can afford ?

LASTLY,dear SANTA make sure the models you bring are really the ones we want this time.

  THANKS----- TANKER-builder
