i have a cd and radio in my workshop too. sometimes talkback radio but mostly classical music station, like Don, or theme CDs; BLUE MAX, PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN, RAMBO, WESTERNS, WAR MOVIES, etc. i will be taking a laptop downstairs so i can stream music through rhapsody. i have a small model table in my study next to a small tv so i can work and watch football on sunday.

when we played multi player board wargames years ago we wpuld tailor the music as well as our alcohol type depending on the genre and what country we were playing.

I have a radio in the shop.  I listen to my local public radio classified music station exclusively.  While it is a classical station it does play a few other genre, like a program for movie music, some modern classical (Is that an oxymoron?) and such.

WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK

I digress, you fellows have me pegged.Okay,I don,t have a T.V. in my work area. I do have a cd player though.

If you come out and hear "1492" by VANGELIS, it,s a ship on the bench. If it,s "TOP GUN" it,s a plane and last but not least it,s a car if the "BEACH BOYS are on

The strange thing is if it,s a scratch-build(any of the above) I do indeed whistle.I can whistle the old classics from the fifties (movie themes) ,and a plethora of other stuff from the world of music.

My DAD taught me how to whistle, and my GRAMPS taught me how to trill.so I worked at it and I can do tonals and various scales by whistling while inhaling too. When I get lip dry then I realize I,ve been at it for about two or three hours

.Time to stop.I have found that whistling takes me to a level of relaxation unachieved in any other way. What do you do??      TANKER-builder
