Future Plans to add more issues to DVD?
Posted by Birdgunner on Friday, December 21, 2012 11:23 AM

I have purchased the 25 year DVD and enjoyed it immensely, but I am curious if FSM plans on adding the issues from 2008 to present day to this collection with an update?  Either a downloadable link or another disk.  And what about future issues say an update at every year end?

That would be great if you are.  Maybe it is something you should be thinking about if your not thinking about it now.

Thanks

Hi Birdgunner,

I'm glad you liked the 25-year collection DVD set. It was a bear putting together.

There are future DVD sets in the pipeline. I can't discuss what's on them quite yet, or the years that they will cover, but rest assured, more will be available in the future.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

Tim

Tim: Any chance you'd make that password available so I could look at the PDFs on my iPad?

Cheers,

Those decisions are made in product planning and include people far above my pay grade, but probably not. However, I will pass along the sentiment that customers would like to have iPad compatible versions for future products.

Just some comments here. I am glad to hear that we won't have to wait another 25 years since the discs I bought was a great idea. And I hope I wasn't out of line when I mentioned on one of the other forums about some ways that other members might be able to view the discs once they were downloaded to their computers. I did mention that it did take up 10.5 gigs of space on my computer but for me it was worth it since I bought a large drive. And it was easier since now I don't have to find the disc everytime I need to go searching for some bit of information from the past. Thanks again for putting all the issues on those discs.

Good news. i just hope sister mag Scale Auto will do the same thing. i'd imagine adding new magazines will be easier now that they are designed and published completely electronically.

Holy necro-post! (I'm sure some of y'all were thinking)

Just a casual womdering if there is any updated information on years 2008- forward DVD? I have some memory of giving feedback (in the affirmative) in an online or email survey.

Cheers
