DoogsATX

What happened to the development of modeling skills when we either made our own masks, used a circle template or just plain painted the wheels?

Wheels are one thing (I find it way easier to hand-paint or circle-template them), but canopies are a different matter. I for one will gladly pay for pieces of tape laser-cut to match the canopy rather than slave away for hours with tiny pieces of tape.

Masking canopies is up there among my least-enjoyed parts of modeling. If a few bucks will cut the pain to 1/5 the time, I'll gladly pay it and move on to the fun stuff.

+1  My thoughts exactly. EZ Masks made a believer out of me.

I used a canopy mask once for a Tamiya Dornier Arrow kit. I found the stiffness of the vinyl didn't want to stay down on the really curved windscreen. Tape would have worked better for that particular part. But for the rest of the canopy, it was nice.

Have you checked with Chris Loney of EZ Masks?  He may have the masks for the Monogram kit.  He offers  a lot of different masks.

I am building a 1 48 P 38 by Monogram. Will a mask set for 1 48 Hasagawa P 38 work on mine?

Thanks
