I got this for Christmas. It seems very nice and yes, it includes complete issues for all 25 years. My only complaint is that I have to sit at the computer to look at it. There's no option offered to view them on a tablet. There are PDF files of each issue that I would like to copy to my iPad, but the files are password protected and so can't be viewed other than through FSM's software. There's an earlier thread regarding this a little farther down in this section of the forum.

Cheers,

Stoutfella

I also agree, spending $99 on a collection of pdf files that you can only use on a computer seems a little off. I would love to get this collection if it in fact allowed it to be used on a tablet. Possible android / apple versions?

Both O/s allow reading of Adobe reader files so maybe the removal of drm?

How good is the quality of the scans? I bought a couple of the article collections available online and was disappointed by the grainy images.

I bought the 2 DVD set last November when it became available and I downloaded it to my computer and I no longer need the discs and as far as I am concerned it is well worth the money. And the quality is great but that depends on the video graphics card on your computer. I don't think its available for direct download since it is on 2 discs and that took 20 minutes itself. As to a tablet, if you have an external storage capability you might be able to download to you computer then transfer thru a USB port but it is 10.5 gigs of storage needed.

But for me it was the best idea FSM has had in a long time since I get the current issues and they are hard to store and so far I have been unable to save the digital issues to my computer for future access.

Even though FSM does make them available on their server. But yes if you can afford it buy it.

What can you do with this? Can you copy articles, or at least print them?

I have the 25 year collection too. I got mine one copy at a time for the last 25 years. I don't have to lug a computer around with me to read them either.

I also have every issue since the 1st one,but I do wish a printed subject index was available so that I can find that article on something I remember from 10 years ago.But yes I do enjoy having the issues at hand, and suprisingly they only take up three shelves in my basement.I usually pull out a binder and page through them while on my stationary bike.

Have you checked the indexes available from the FS home page?
