Hi:

I wonder how many of you are going to be here? I know it's in TEXAS , but I promise to keep my cattle outside (he,he,he,) .I am looking forward to it .I always get such great ideas .

That , and I get to meet some great folks too . The models always run the gamut from figures and what-ifs? to the regular stuff and for the most part it's all WELL DONE !

I will probably be judging again as I don,t have anything ready and I just will not take up space with an " under construction " build . This is okay , because you modelers out there manage to fire me up , be it ships , planes armor etc . so , I will be looking forward to seeing you there . happy modeling !!!      Tanker-builder

Had a great time in San Antonio this weekend.  This was the first modeling show I have attended, and was pleasantly surprised at the number of vendors and entrants.  I did not have anything to enter, but it was fun checking out other peoples' work (and getting some ideas).  I must admit, I bought more models than I should have, and found a few bargains.  They seem to be either Tamiya or Monogram (bought mostly for nostalgia).  I have to admit that I'm not building models, I'm building a stash!

I didn't stay for the award ceremony, but I do have a few pictures I need to post up when I have the time.

I made it down. The vendors seemed a bit less impressive than last year, but the contest was far, far more crowded. I was happy to come away with two thirds (Eduard 1/144 Czech MiG-21MF and Cyber-Hobby 1/35 Panzer III Ausf.L) and a first (Eduard 1/144 Polish MiG-21MF).

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

On Deck:  1/350 HMS Dreadnought
