It's that time of year again... MosquitoCon.  April 6th at the Wayne PAL in Wayne NJ.  At the moment no details on the website as they are changing over to a new server and it's not going well from what I here.

We'll be there Marc, as usual. Just had a club meeting tonight and some of the guys brought what they are planning to bring to the show. They are looking good. Guys have tried new things and did a great job. I have two that I'm bringing so far. Good thing the meeting was at my house. The guys found something wrong with one of my planes Surprise and I have time to fix it Big Smile. Hope to see you there.

I'm putting it on the calendar...I doubt I would enter anything.  If I go, I'll be bringing my son - as he's just getting into it.

On the bench:  Tamyia Mosquito Mk. VI for the '44 group build.  Yes, still.

I plan on coming, and bringing my son.  I've never been before.  I'm coming up from central Jersey...but I won't be able to leave until around noon.  Is it still worth it?  And by that I mean, will there still be models to see and vendors present?

Thanks in advance.

It all depends on how long it takes you to get there. The judging starts at 12:00. The guys start removing their models between 4 and 5. The awards are called at 5. We're about 40 miles due west of Phila. and it takes us around 2 hours to make the trip. That includes stopping at WAWA to get something to eat and a large coffee. If you get there around 2, you'll still have about 2 hours to check out the tables and the vendors. The vendors usually have some last minute sales going on then. 6 of us are coming up in 2 cars. We'll get there around 10.  We always have a great time. John and his club put on a great show. Hope to see some of you there. Maybe we can get together to have a photo taken.

Like Jim said, the models are all displayed before 4. Actually if you get there too early (before 10:30) you will only see maybe about 75% of the models on display. People are still filling in. Some great bargains are to be had when they first open though. I unfortunately will have to come early and leave early, not entering anything this year. Have fun everyone.

It sounds great.  I'm actually not sure when we'll get there...it all depends on what sporting events happen in the morning.  When do I think....eh, probably between 12 and 2.

Looking forward to it.
