That's really a bit of bad news Mr. Squid. Hope they find the guys that took them and get your stuff back.

Tanker, that's a great way to thin a stash.

That's great to hear - fitting place for the kits to go.

Sorry to hear about your stuff MrSquid.  Seems like a weird one even for crack heads

I recently learned that the fastest way to 'thin out' over 3/4 of an unbuilt, accessorized stash is for crackheads to steal it.Super Angry

I do not wish this 'solution' upon any of you good folks.Sad

THINNING ONE'S STASH

   This is a sticky subject , I know .

We get older and that KING TIGER we bought years ago , took out , looked at it an bought FRUILMODEL tracks and some PHOTO-ETCH , so that it would have all the goodies when it got built . How many years ago was that now ? Hmm

I started thinning out my stash and found something surprising .90% of the kits had been started ! I started on the car side of the equation and what a shock ! I had started all but 12 car-kits ! I know the ships are just as bad , they probably are ALL started . Now the armor , probably only one or two have fallen under my glue and knife . Hmm

I decided that I would thin everything out . Well to my surprise , even the 1/48 aircraft had the same malady  .I like my planes in natural metal so about 95% percent are started .Hmmm .A solution was as close as my local hobby shop . He has connections with the " WOUNDED WARRIORS group here in SAN ANTONIO . They replied that they would accept gently started models as well as pristine ,opened kits and new ones too .That's good .  Big Smile

I now know what to do with them and have given a bunch so far . I have been keeping the ships because I only have one or two of each and I am in the slow process of building a 1/350 WW-2 Battle group . This includes AKAs and APAs as well as two tenders , one for subs and one for destroyers ,oh , and the U.S.S. CURRITUCK for seaplanes . The rest , which are passenger vessels in various sizes 1/400 to 1/200 will be my relaxation between warships .Yes , I am using all the P.E. I got to detail them .My paper or " card " models will be last . I imagine I won't be allowed anything more than scissors in a home for " AULD PHARTS " , and the paper models can use P.E. too . If you think you won't build and don't want your stash in a yard sale or flea market , think " WOUNDED WARRIORS " Okay ?  Toast  Thanks    Tanker-builder
