Spray can transfer

Stick the spray can in a pan of warm water (after you've shaken it well, of course). The warm water will warm the spray can and help the paint flow better. Find a straw that will either insert in the spray nozzle, or that is big enough in diameter to cover the nozzle. Wear latex gloves and depress spray can nozzle while holding the straw so that the paint is directed into a bottle. Then give your bottle an  hour or so to "off-gas" and you should be good to go.

Definitely a messy operation. Best to do it outside when there is no or very little wind.

This one is easy .

   Do you have any WD 40 around the house ? Take the nozzle and straw that comes with it ,wash it in lacquer thinner if you,ve used it .Now ,put that nozzle on the paint can .

  The bottle should be prepped with a foil or some other cover . I use a metal lid I,ve drilled a small hole in .Now transfer as much as you need . This is the important part .Besides being cleaner , the little hole , (when you,ve pulled the straw out ) will let the propellant gas out and you,ll have the paint you need .

   It is a very important step . Always let the paint gas out BEFORE you try to use it . If you need bottles ,go to your hobby store and buy the three pack in their airbrush section . DO NOT buy plastic bottles though ! The other way is , if you use TESTORS or TAMIYA glue , clean out and save the bottles .This also applies to any MODELMASTER and regular TESTORS bottles .
