Weights made just for model airplanes

Any open space forward of the main gear can accomodate weights. You can use just about anything. I've regularly stuffed window putty into nose cones, under cockpits, behind radial engines. If you have fuel tanks under the wings that extend beyond the amin gear, you can use that space as well.

dont forget about leverage ie the further away you put the weight from the pivot (the wheel) the less weight youll need

I use fishing sinkers, the inexpensive split ones.  They are fairly dense, so you usually don't need a lot.  Put a few into the nose and cover with white glue (don't use plastic cement - I made that mistake early on and the nose warpped).

In addition to mixing bird-shot with 2-part epoxy and then packing that paste into voids, I also find that spent bullets or pulled bullets from dud rounds really work well.  I dig them out of the berm at my shooting range, or use new, pulled projectiles.  The 9mm and .45acp bullets fit really well in nose cones and prop spinners and rifle bullets are typically longer and fit in more spaces. They can be glued in place with epoxy.  Gary

There are some products made primarily for weight for Pinebox Derby cars that may work for noseweights.  Seems to me someone made a metal-powder-weighted putty.  Some of the larger hobby shops also carry Pinebox Derby kits and accessories.

I was having the same problem with an F-86. The directions said to use 15g. in the nose section. I have used lead shot secured with putty in the past but it's tedious to take them out of shotgun shells. Not to mention I had to be really careful. Then I came across these weights at the LHS. I included a pic of where I located them in the fwd fuselage just for perspective. They're 7 gm. each and have stick 'em on the back. $4.99 which I thought was reasonable. Just another option for you........
