I too use Photobucket and have been happy with it.  I don't use an iPhone, nor have I downloaded the Android app yet, so I can't comment on that.  But going through the web site I have no complaints.

I'm also a satisfied Photobucket user.  However, another option is photos from your own web site.  Many ISPs offer to host a non-business web site for their customers, but it seems most folks do not take them up on that.  I don't post every model I build on my web site, and do not put in-progress work there, but when I do stick a model on my web site I do link to that rather than PB.  I use PB for the stuff I do not put on my web site.

I use Photobucket and like you I take a lot of my progress shots with my iPhone. I agree the app kinda sucks so I use the Photobucket email address and mail them from my phone. They show up in the default album and then I move them to the correct album and post away. One thing about the iPhone though, assuming that is what you are using, you can only email 5 photos at a time. The address can be found in your settings under the Mobile tab.

I was very happy with Webshots before Hallmark repackaged it as their "Smile" brand and started charging for hosting. I switched to Flickr and pretty much hate them as well due to their silly "Photostream" structuring. Too lazy to search for yet a 3rd photo host, so I just put up with Flickr.

Photo Uploading/Linking Services; What Do You Use?
Posted by Jeremy on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 12:18 PM

I'm wondering what everyone uses as their photo uploading and linking service. I have a Photobucket account I've been using since I was a teenager but their iPhone app is terrible. Since I take my photos primarily with my phone I'd like to find a better alternative.

What I'm looking for more than anything else is a service that has a functional mobile app that will allow me to upload photos from my phone and, most importantly, allow me to copy the /img link from within the app so I can paste it once I toggle back over to my browser when making a post.

Flickr has a nice app, but I can't see a way to get the img link from within the app. Same with Picasa. Both of these seem to focus more on the social side of picture sharing. Whatever happened to good old picture hosting services? I'd love to find one that I can use well from my phone.

What do you use? What do you like about it that causes you to prefer it over other options?

I do have a DSLR but I like the ease of uploading and linking directly from my phone. I want to avoid unnecessary steps (and letting people see my work in too much detailEmbarrassed).
