60's Shelby GT-350
Posted by d3bug on Monday, April 22, 2013 11:56 AM

Are there any model companies that produce a model kit of the 1960's Shelby GT-350 with the kind of detail Tamiya is known for perhaps with mixed parts (plastic, metal)?  I am looking for the most detailed model I can get, but the only model I can find is the AMT one, and the engine detail on that model is horrible.  I want to be able to open doors, trunk, hood, etc.  I am new to model making (haven't done it since I was a kid), so I am not familiar with what companies produce the most detailed models now.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Welcome back. I'd seriously suggest before going all out on detailing, you build a few out of box kits to regain a feel of the hobby.

As to the GT 350, you know of the AMT kit. Monogram/Revell have one, too, but that would be it.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
