Ohh, got it. Yeah much better engine, but the Eduard Brassin R-2800 tops the cake, but is 3 times the costTongue Tied

No, you got that wrong, Nathan.

I was talking about the Quickboost engine:

What makes the QB cowl so much better? Just curious as I've got some Eduard Cats in the stash.

The Eduard kit is nice.

I got mine together without any problems, apart from a bad fit on the engine cowling (its my fault btw)

And I'm not experienced at all. I would just replace the engine with one from quickkboost. It's not that expensive and looks a lot better.

I guess I'll go with the Eduard kit as I have read a lot about their kits and there do not seem to be many complaints or problems.  Thanks for the replies- I didn't realize that Tamiya doesn't make one.  I just assumed, and you know what "they " say about assuming...

Eduard makes the best one.  Tamiya is not an option as they don't make one.  The Hasegawa and Hobby Boss kits aren't too bad either.

Eduard.  Definitely.  I'm not sure that Tamiya makes a 1/48 Hellcat.

Opinions, please.  1/48 F6F 3 or 5- Eduard or Tamiya?  Thanks in advance.
