Which Revell Spitfire Mk.I kit are you referring to? Their original 1960's vintage 1/32 kit?

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Revits on Revell Spitfire MK1

I bought this kit a year ago, upon opening the box I found it full of flash and ejector pins every where. In disgust I threw it in the not to do pile. After a year I have learned alot and I decieded to use this kit to practice and hone my skills. The kit has potiential for scratch building ,also I like the engine , I believe you can make it really pop. Now for my question, the rivit detail looks like the mad reviter was let loose! On the fuselodge alone there is row upon row of rivits, it like reading brail! I started to tone this down quite a bit but after looking at pictures, It does'nt look to be much if any rivitng except by the front and by the wings .So do I just sand off all the rivits ,rerivit or tone them down? I am trying to buid something accurat, I know there are other kits out there but I like a challenge. Famous last words thank you Bob Wood
