Glue
Posted by Bud-do251 on Friday, August 2, 2013 9:55 PM

I'm new on this forum and have been an avid modeler for many years. However, I have not been involved in this hobby for some time now. Since I am retired, I now have the time to get back into it again,

Things have changed over the years and a lot of manufacters have gone out of buisness. So I am really starting all over again.

One item I have been unable to find is a plastic adhesive called "Weld On" Very thin, filled gaps and never

let go. It set up really fast and you could rely on to hold a model together for years.

Does anyone know of a product like this that is on the market now? I hate the old Testors liquid and really want to find out what people are using now days.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Bud

Tenax, and Ambroid are a couple more brands you can try.

Super glue works good. Find some that is either real thick or very thinned. The thin stuff goes into cracks fairly easily and will harden  in about 5 minutes or so. Then sand it down.

Chasing the ultimate build.
