I second Hornet Hobbies in Toronto - I have used them many times and they charge actual prices for shipping (they have included the shipping receipt in the box).  Also very knowledgeable and friendly service.

Modellers Choice in Hamilton.  You just missed their promo for free shipping.

I'd also try another US site http://www.spruebrothers.com/

Lately they've been pretty good at adjusting their mailing rates after initial payment.  This is because their site, like so many out there, are automated for initial billing. While packing your order, if they can place smaller items into say the model kit box you had bought, they will send you a refund.

Distance wise from Asian web stores, you are a bit closer than I am here in north eastern Ontario.  So a couple out there I suggest is http://www.luckymodel.com/ and http://www.hobbyeasy.com/

These both offer the option of declaring low value on your parcel, thus avoiding duty costs.  Most importantly, order only those items that are definitetly in stock.  Many in the past have ignored this and then have wondered why it is taking so long for their order to ship.

regards,

Jack

Try contacting Wheels & Wings hobbies in Toronto. I visited their shop while on holidays ( I live in Winnipeg).  They said they do mail order and charge what the actual shipping charge is. I have not mail ordered from them personally but their shop is fantastic and they are in Canada so it's worth a try.  Their website is wheelswingshobbies.com.

Best of luck, Gerald

I live in the Yellowknife Northwest Territories and am looking for a model supplier how will ship up to here.  I use to use Squadron out of the states, but about a month ago there prices triple to ship up to here. IE; went to buy a $30 model during there black friday sale with 25% off it came to $110 and that's not expedited shipping either. So any help I could get on this topic would be great.
