Not entirely sure on the first question, I have a close up image, and I think they are woodn, but its hard to tell.

I can't imagine they would be painted. Photo's of the same gun, a museum piece, show them the same as the gun. There would be a risk of paint flaking off and going into the gun.

first, the slatted foot rests for the loaders on any given 20mm quad AA gun, are they metal? wood? second, the magazines for said weapon system? almost all instructions call out for them to be "gunmetal" or "black", any thought that they might have been grey or primer red from the manufacturer ? thanks
