For Christmas my dad got me 3 of these kits, a Huey, Mustang, and Corsair. Can't wait to actually get them! (He asked me to help him with some stuff in his office and they were right on his desk haha)
I stopped at the local hobby store to buy some paint last night and they are now carrying Metal Earth models. The models are in clear plastic packages rather than the cardboard package at B&N and are a little less expensive,

Saw them at my local B&N store. Thought about picking up one for myself as well.
I saw models too, when I was in Barnes and Noble. I was surprised, but for someone who's totally brand new to the hobby, it's a neat introduction.
Once they get hooked, it's all over.
On the bench: Tamyia Mosquito Mk. VI for the '44 group build. Yes, still.
On deck:
I agree. I like the bare metal look.
interesting, the tanks works better than the planes as the metal is flat

I saw they make a Sherman. Might have to give that one a shot.
Nice build and nice kit. I'd leave it as is, paint would obscure to much

I saw these models at Barnes and Noble and thought what the heck and bought one. It is essentially a complete PE model. It took about 2 hours to build.
