Ditto about using foil. It creates realistic waves on the flag.

For me, the solution may depend on the scale, but you could try using thin metal foil.  Apply the decal to the foil, then bend the foil to shape.

I used regular alum. foil, right outta the kitchen. I used a piece, a little larger than the decal...sammich the foil between the decal halves, allow it to dry, spray with dull coat. Trim off excess foil, touch up paint on the edges, then CAREFULLY and slowly bend into the shape you want.

I want to use the flag decals that came with the kit I am working on, but I do not want them to look like they are on the moon. Any tips on how to make them look real kind of motionless hanging from an antenna. Any help would be great. Thanks
