First Airbrush ever!
Posted by P.o. Prune on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 9:53 AM
I'm in the process of buying my first Airbrush ever. and I have found this beauty: http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/revell-basic-airbrush-set-compressor/ Does anyone have any experience with this, is it worth the money etc.? Thanks in advance... Cheers

It doesn't look like a bad deal per se.  Good starter set.  The paint cup is a little small, may get frustrating on larger jobs.  Not sure who Revell uses as their airbrush supplier, but I don't see any reason why it's not good for getting your feet wet.

I'd also recommend the Badger 200 as well as the Aztek lines.  Good starter airbrushes.  I still have my Badger 200 and it's going on 20+ years now.

Keep in mind there is a "painting and airbrushing" among the FSM forums.  This question frequently comes up in that forum, so looking at some of the past threads may give you a wealth of opinion on the question.

Tell you what -- I bought a cheap airbrush at Harbor Freight a month or two ago as a backup. Spent $15 on it and some cleaning brushes. My main brush is a Badger 360, and this little cheapie is giving my Badger a run for it's money. I've been very impressed with it.
