Yes they advertise it as being 1:200 but I thought I read it was somewhat different scale. I started the build the other day. For some reason I am unable to post pictures. I went with a Hauser medium green for the interior. It's a little darker than I wanted but is the closest I have to interior green and looks great. The details are fantastic but there is enough flashing in this kit to build a whole other model in itself.

Thanks for the advice. I will post in the ship building forum as well.

This is the one thats got an interior, right? And firing missiles!

Very cool.

If so, the scale is more like 1/260 if that helps.

Gold Medal makes a 1/240 set for Buckley, and a 1/300 set for Burton Island. That might get you ladders and watertight doors, beyond that I have no idea but there's not a dedicated set.

Sounds like a nice project.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I think that if you post this in the Ships section you will have a better chance of getting answers. Lots of sub builders on there. Don't forget to post pics of you build.

I just picked up the above mentioned kit and I'm wondering if there are any photo etch sets available for it. I love the details but some of them are a bit lacking. Any help on this is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
