As Bish mentioned, some manufacturers will release "new" kits, when it's really a previously released kit with a new decal scheme/set.

For me, I am waiting for the new Tamiya 1/32 aircraft release. They typically release about one per year.

Some companies release kit almost on a Monthly bases. Hasegawa for example. Of course, these are not always brand new kits. They might be releases, re boxing's of some one else's kit or an older kit with different decals. It does vary quite a bit.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Spitfire

You will get some released every year and find that when a big industry show comes round the releases will follow a few months after. But saying that they will get delayed and not come out depending on the company.

The most reliable I have seen is Zoukei Mura who are pretty much spot on when they give a release date.

I'm fairly new to the hobby, or newly reacquainted I should say, and was just curious as to how often the model manufacturers release new kits typically.  I see so many kits that have been around for decades that I was under the impression that it's not very common, but just noticed Revell has recently released a few new ones.
