I stay away from Sprue Bros ever since they would not get me a replacement part for a Trumpy kit I bought from them. They wouldn't even answer my follow up emails. Lots of other places to buy from.

Great service!

Prices are excellent, too!

I've had much faster service from Scale Hobbyist than Sprue Brothers.Big Smile

I have never been anything but delighted with the service from ScaleHobbyist. Service and prices are consistently excellent.

That's why I posted the story. We often see people asking where they should shop and we need to know the good along with the bad.

Hey jeffpez, Thank you for sharing that info. I have been shopping at Scalehobbyist for a few years and I am definitely a fan. Yet, I have never had the occasion to have to use their customer service. So, it is encouraging to know that they went the extra mile fro you. I have had great customer service from Squadron, Tamiya, Hasegawa and Badger. Although, Dirkpitt started a thread recently concerning the apparent poor customer service he has been experiencing recently with Badger Airbrush.

I almost exclusively buy from scalehobbyist.  They once sent me a bunch of wrong paints.  They told me to keep them and immediately sent the right ones.

I have had extraordinary service from Tamiya, too.  Let's pass the word around on good experiences with the suppliers!

Great to hear positive experiences like yours, not only do they have excellent pricing but a great customer service dept too.  Revell is pretty good too when it comes to providing missing/damaged parts.

Scale Hobbiest customer service - two thumbs up
Posted by jeffpez on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 4:46 PM

A few weeks ago I discovered the clear parts sprue for a MENG kit I was building wasn't in the box. I bought it from Scale Hobbiest so I emailed customer service asking for help. In less than a day they said they would try. About a week later I heard back that they had contacted the importer and a replacement was being sent to them. They promised to send it on to me once they received it. Today it arrived in a small sturdy box nicely covered in bubble wrap. I already liked the company because of their low prices and fast shipping but this tops everything. With customer service becoming a thing of the past I felt the least I could do was publicly thanking them.
