New SPAD XIII?
Posted by cvsaylr on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 4:06 AM

I'm hoping this is the correct portion of the forum to put this. If not, please forgive me but I didn't see a section for new products. Anyway, I saw somewhere online (not here) that there will be a new 1/32 scale Spad XIII coming out in mid April but I can't remember what company was making it. Anyone heard about this?

Revell Germany is scheduled to release it, but in 1/28 scale (I think).

Umm, if it's anything like the rest of their current releases then should be a beauty! Do we have any pictures of the future release?

I do not have pictures but I'm thinking that the new Revell Germany release is a re-release of a mid-50's Revell kit. Even though I'd like to build it I'm concerned about detail and old dyes. Seems to me that the model I'm thinking of is supposed to be put out by Academy or someone like that. Maybe I dreamed it one night. . .

I was hoping it wasn't a re-issue of the old 1/28th  mold which is kind of a dog. The Tripe actually builds up decent with a lot of scratch building and PE. The Camel can be a very nice build with the help of PE parts and some scratch work. I also have some IPMS Convention decals from many years back for all three.
