I went with two other members of our club. It was a good show, but, because of the AMPS show on the same day, the armor tables were almost empty. One of our members won a first with his 1/72 Soft Skinned Armor M-113 and another won a third with an He-51 in aircraft. I only had one entry in Diorama and I knew it wouldn't take anything but I brought it along just for the fun of it.
Large amount of ships there and they were all great. There were both extremes. Battleships around five feet long to subs that were four or five inches long. Lots of aircraft of all types and scales. Autos were well represented too.
When they called the first special raffle number at 12:00, they called one of my numbers. I got an Iwata Revolution CR Master airbrush set. I later hit the regular raffle for an Eduard 1/48 Hawker Tempest Mk.V. I've never built an Eduard kit before so I'm interested to see how it works out.
One thing that didn't go over well was when they were ready to call out the awards, they said there were going to be NO OOB awards. A lot of groans went up. OOB is usually a well represented class so many guys were disappointed. The Vendors started packing up at around 2:00 but I heard that great deals were made while they were there.
I have pics from the show but have't been able to get them on here. I'll try to get them up tonight or tomorrow.
